Nobody is going to hand us energy independence on a silver platter: YOU have to do it!

Shoreline Solar Project is currently an entirely volunteer organization. As such, one of the toughest challenges we face is in getting the personal energy to carry out our mission. We are always in need of volunteer help from the community.

One of the biggest energy drains is our annual renewable energy fair. Each year dozens of volunteers put in weeks or months of spare time on the fair, not to mention our volunteer staffing the day of the fair. We always need help on the fair, often with things nearly anyone can do: we need help staffing the gate, setting up tables, organizing volunteers, making phone calls, generating ideas, writing press copy, and much, much more.

Shoreline Solar Project is primarily a board-driven organization. Our board of directors make most of the decisions, but they also do much of the work that makes the organization happen. Spaces on the board open periodically, and we seek to fill them with motivated individuals who understand our energy problems and have a vision for how renewable energy can be a foundation for a brighter future in Shoreline.
